Hey... Nuv lara ne na ?
I was there too at that time
I'm glad this song was not used. Edith the maid is supposed to be nervous--certainly too nervous to have the opening number. The actual first number (after the Overture) is "Was She Prettier Than I?", sung by Ruth.
1:21 - kid sells it.
This interview got me by surprise. I didn't know a lot of details about her life. It's incredible that life and professional success was two faces of the same coin (and sooooo different). One has to be very strong to face all those things. She escaped from an alcoholic husband to fall for a drug addict. Terrible things for a beautiful and sensitive woman like her. Congratulation Helen. A big kiss to you wherever you are.
1:20 is heartbreaking...
The cocaine version !!
Don turns 90 today. Best wishes to the eternal fawn with lively and sparkling eyes, who ran on the beach of Santa Monica, where his beloved Chris fell madly in love with him. Chris&Don forever.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

She is just so pretty !
Do you happen to have the full house camera recording? I am desperate since family ties to Jon Ewing <3
It might be on UA-cam.
23:56 I Get a Kick Out of You. No one will ever sing this quite like Mary Martin.
Any chance you could upload the track from this album which contains her narrative about her parents and follows up with "Soon You'll All Be Lying In The Graveyard" . Also would love to hear any audio from "Madonna And Child". My gosh I loved that show.

@@ttsheldy Oh wow Tony this is amazing! Thank you. I only saw MADONNA AND CHILD once on a visit to Sydney from Brisbane. I had seen JUDI CONNELLI in "Women Behind Bars" on Monday, 5th August, 1985, then spent the next two nights seeing GERALDINE TURNER at The Regent Hotel. I saw MADONNA & CHILD on the Thursday and loved it SO MUCH that I really wanted to change my travel plans and stay longer to see it again, but I had work commitments in Brisbane and just couldn't stay in Sydney any longer. I can promise you I've been kicking myself ever since. You were both sensational in the show and Ron Creager was perfect for this show too.
@@darwinorbust Thank you so much! I'm so thrilled you liked it. And yes, both those other shows were fantastic. I had Geb's Regent show on video once but long gone, I'm afraid.
Great to have this footage of the Australian cast of Side by Side by Sondheim. Thanks so much for uploading it! 🙏🏾
thank you.
What a powerhouse she was. Innumerable how many she inspired and continues to do so.
Is Bea Arthur narrating the segment at 51:52?
Yes.
❤mary martin 37:01 ninety minutes is a long long time 🤣🤣🤣 thanks for posting 🎉

Yhh😂😂
Thank you for this.
Thank you so much for posting this! This has long been regarded as one of Fosse's most delicious numbers -- but there was no record of it that the public could see. What a find. As one watches this, one is made aware all over again how Fosse takes a decent idea and makes it incredibly special. Who else could have come up with this? Genius.
BT! Thank you and lovely to hear from you. You won't remember me, I was your audition reader for CABARET in Sydney a couple of decades ago. 😁
This was a marvellous production of a great show. I saw it several times (and not just because of the way Simon Burke looked in his CKs).

Helen Reddy was a trail blazer and was so far ahead of her time. She beat the odds and I am thankful that she had such strong convictions and was undeterred. She was a remarkable woman and paved the way for other women to enjoy greater freedom. What a journey! May her journey continue to illuminate the path for so many others. May she live on in our hearts and May she walk in beauty in the ethereal realm.
Patterson and Thompson will pay !!!
What a charming statement / story of lives lived , and not a mention of AIDS That terrible thing that people of is kind did not live to see . Both lives lived together and in a charming way, and one is moved to say very well done . GS
Vignan 🥂
Is God a she? Never heard of that one before.
Hugh???
Hi There! I'm from the Cherry Red digitization team, we're in search of this track, and was wondering if you could help with sourcing the audio for this? Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Azeri

Just imagine the good this person could have done if they had stayed in their own country and fought their own War, Typical of the wealthy, Hope he enjoyed his toy boy looks like his toy boy enjoy the elitist life. SUCKS!
Great singer but her other beliefs were strange. Destiny and reincarnation are just odd.
They may be odd to you but much of the world believes in reincarnation.
Helen was like my Mother when she Divorced my Father in 1970!! My Mother brought us to Portland Maine where she was born & Raised. My Mother then Strived to keep us together and be whatever we wanted to be no Matter what it was!!! When my Mother got a job as an ER Nurse at the Maine Medical Center we were all THRILLED for her!! Later when the City Of Portland had a Program where Family of city employees could also work for the city. My Mother was thrilled that my Sister Eva & I got Jobs as a Police Dispatcher & a Paramedic and my Mother was SO THRILLED!!! We always LOVED our Jobs & Being together as a Family!!! I ALWAYS LOVED Being with my family and making them HAPPY!!! My Family also made a big impact in everything we did!!!

40:57 - Even Don Pardo plays a role!
10:25 - In 1974, George S. Irving and Dick Shawn would voice Heat Miser and Cold Miser in "The Year Without a Santa Claus".
wow - they don't make them like these two ladies anymore! Talent is just amazing!
The segments with Hugh Hefner at the Playboy Club in Chicago were from a (taped) episode of Playboy Penthouse which aired on ABC. They missed the return flight to New York and subsequently missed the performance that evening. Refunds were issued to the ticket holders. This created quite a controversy when the actors ended up being fired. The article at Wikipedia goes into greater detail and explanation. The tv episode aired after the show had closed in New York.
Jackie Joseph and Ken Berry were married from 1960 to 1976. On one occasion when they appeared as a couple on the Tattletales game show (hosted by Bert Convy), Ken Berry brought up the fact that he and Bert Convy were in a rivalry of sorts over Jackie Joseph. It occurred when all three appeared in the Billy Barnes Revue. It made for a very obvious awkward exchange.
This is still one of the best versions of this show I have ever seen. It is my favourite show and seen more than 12 different productions. It brought me to tears to watch this show.
Wow! High praise indeed! Thank you!
@@ttsheldy I sort of live in hope of a cast recording. Especially the finale.
@@williamlockhartnelson8873 There is one. Probably available on the Squabbalogic website.
I have always admired this lady!
This is truly heartwarming, from a long time Helen Reddy fan since 1973 (when I was 13!) ❤❤❤
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Falsettos is my favourite show and this is an AMAZING cast!! Do you happen to have the full show?
Marvellous! The two ultimate pros at the peak of their powers. Not a word or a step out of place for 90 minutes of live TV.
That was awesome! I just found out about Saki today; first good writer I've learned of in a long time. It's nice to know that the baloney they are putting through the schools now has been seen before. You can't make children into nobodies; we'll make it.
